“Like a rose all cupped & curled, like the virginity taken from a girl
too early you were plucked from this world” ~Missy B
How do you treat your self?
How do you share with others?
How do you show others how you fee?
How do you listen to a friend?
How do you make someone else feel good?
What does it take for you to love?
Do you love yourself?
Really love yourself?
Make sure you take care of yourself
Make sure you take care of your loved ones…
Make sure you take care of the human race…
whether you know them or not!
Don’ suffer and don’t let others suffer.

we are creatures who can say something with nothing but
we are creatures with habits and likes that help but also bring
we are creatures whose faces don’t always say the truth in our hearts
we are creatures who lounge all day and expect to get paid
we are creatures who sometimes stink but try to hide it
we are creatures who play games but may lie to win
we are creatures who allow things to happen for reason unknown
we are creatures who want to be on top but don’t always know how
we are creatures who buy without hesitation but have no monies
we are creatures
we are creatures
we are creatures

Little girl riding a bike in the middle of the night
From boredom to stress she moves out of fright
You can’t detect it on her face she hides all of that
he heard the sound a block away click-clack
Her mothers up the way at the crack house spot
Only diggin deeper the blunts to slow her thoughts
Unconscience of her surroundings her future even bleeker
Daddy never raised her to be a knowledge seeker
Never stopping time to free up her mind
Wool over her eyes never realize she been walking blind

We have dreams, desires
We put forth effort and energy
But do we ever know what impact we have
Does a person really have to die to be honored or respected
for who he or she is?
Some of us swim upstream some swim with the flow
but those who are courageous enough to be
themselves, be different or dare to pursue their
are the real
KINGS & QUEENS
those who stand for what they believe, create and give back to
but in the process we doubt, we give up, we stop swimming
only to realize we had it all along
or rarely anyone wants to praise the ones that are different
because they are envious
jealousy because they didn’t dare reach for the
or do what makes them truly
You cannot erase the past; you must let it go.
You cannot change yesterday; you must accept the lessons learned.
You cannot stop time or stand still in a world racing around in circles;
you must dance with the wind and sing with the songs that are playing.
Let whatever mistakes you have made remain in the shadows of times gone by,
and let love be the answer to the mysteries of life.

He kisses me on the back of my neck
He waits for me
She caresses the parts that hurt me the most
She makes little sacrifices that make big differences
He shares his pie
He stops what he is doing and assists me
She makes me my favorite treats
She encourages me when I least expect it
He watches me as I put on my makeup
He saves the last piece for me
She looks at me and speaks with her eyes
She lets me be me
He surprises me with my favorite things
He prayed for me when I was doubtful
She reassures me that I am hers
She watches the game with me
He lets me choose where to go
He kisses me on the back of the neck
After a while I looked in the mirror and realized…
Wow, after all those hurts, scars and bruises,
after all of those trials, I really made it through.
I did it. I survived that which was supposed to
kill me. So I straightened my crown…
and thanked God for walking with me.
“I’ve often thought of the forest as a living cathedral, but this might diminish what it truly is. If I have understood Koyukon teachings, the forest is not merely an expression or representation of sacredness, nor a place to invoke the sacred; the forest is sacredness itself. Nature is not merely created by God; nature is God. Whoever moves within the forest can partake directly of sacredness, experience sacredness with his entire body, breathe sacredness and contain it within himself, drink the sacred water as a living communion, bury his feet in sacredness, touch the living branch and feel the sacredness, open his eyes and witness the burning beauty of sacredness”
― Richard Nelson, The Island Within
All that lives of legendary,
Beauty, magic, mystery,
Gentleness and purity,
Dwells in me.
I no mate, no kin, have known;
None may claim me as his own;
One is one, and all alone,
It must be.
Through their weariness and woe
Men have sometimes seen me go,
Felt a wind from Eden blow
Though they hunt with spear and horn,
Knowing life cannot be borne
If they have no unicorn–
I am free.
Though they kill, and weep to see
Beauty’s symbol ended be–
One is one and lives in me
